Don Imus, controversial radio host, says new cable show will go up against NBC's Saturday Night Live, starting in May.

Although the show will be sold in syndication, BET has thrown its support behind it by committing 12 of its network's 14 owned-and-operated stations to show it in 11:30 PM time period and by agreeing to sell it through company's syndication arm, Black Entertainment Network. BET offered Imus a $15 million annual payday, being the most paid host on BET's line up.

The Show will be called In The Den with Big Daddy Imus.

In other news, Rutgers Universiy fired Imus late Thursday night after he met with Coach Vivian Stringer and members of the Scarlet Knightto apologize for remarks he made April 3rd. Imus had been a Communications Ethics Professor with the University for over 20 years.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
