Less than 24 hours after being crowned the "Worst Dressed" woman in America, Britney Spears has been stripped of her crown due to an incident last summer. Fashion designer Mr. Blackwell initially put Spears at the top of his 47th annual "Worst Dressed" list of celebrity fashion disasters. But he removed her just hours later, referring to a "tasteful attire incident" several months ago.
Spears had lobbied intensely all year to reach the pinnacle of bad taste, even going so far as to leave her underwear at home.
Details of the incident are not available, but it appears to be related to a family wedding where relatives pressured her to dress a little less slutty than usual. Rumors of a Spears video wearing fashionable, tasteful attire are rampant on thousands of Britney fan sites. Blackwell is apparently not willing to risk the integrity of his famous list on her irresponsible behavior.
Spears met privately with Blackwell and is said to have offered to attend fashion counseling and never again be seen with unexposed cleavage.
