A new report claiming that US TV celebrity Oprah Winfrey had a “surprise wedding" to long-time partner Stedman Graham has been officially debunked.
Gossip Cop, a highly respected Internet website, which faithfully draws the public's attention to fake news stories, before unravelling them, reported the news story, which had first allegedly appeared in something called "New Idea". Unfortunately, nobody had ever heard of "New Idea".
Gossip Cop, guns-a-blazing, proceeded to publish photographs of the supposed bride, whose cleavage took up most of the picture, together with a bow tie-wearing tall man who could have been John Cleese's double. His upper litigant in person was even curled, just like Cleese's, either in disdain at the paparazzi photographer, or in pain at the sharpness of his own moustache.
Gossip Cop claimed that an alleged “insider” maintained, “Having Stedman by her side as her husband instead of her boyfriend would strengthen her chance with the conservative American voters.”
This was presumably a reference to rumours that Oprah might stand for the Democrat primaries at the next Presidential election.
Oprah's spokesperson quickly put out a statement denying any marriage.
Meanwhile, President Trump tweeted "fake boobs, totally fake, I know, I tried grabbing them. So sad."
