LOS ANGELES, CA.- The band in their signature black and white costumes were "exhilarated" by the award." Whoa! We just like thought up the name after watching that cool documentary about the whales eating baby seals off the beach in South America. Ha!" said lead drummer Mik Gelettanous.
The bands songs "Free Willy, Free Yourself", "Dude, Where's My Trainer" and " Sixteen Seals, One Dolphin and a Car Tire" were all recorded live during the Killer Whale Show at SeaWorld. The band is known for their stunts during shows depicting whale "Wolf Pack" hunting with members catching salmon in their mouths thrown by band mates.
The band will be starting their "Shamu Lives Tour" March 16, with a concert in San Diego at the Dolphinarium.
