CHICAGO - The stars of hit cable series The Vampire Diaries, Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, and Paul Wesley are as happy as a gophers at the beach.

The show's producer Manolo Middlezuck has just learned from The Amalgamated Agency of Data Gathering, which is based in Chicago, that the show set in Mystic Falls, Virginia has the amazing distinction of being the number one television show in 73 countries.

AADG Spokesperson Bagby B. Buckleybox stated that the show is now even more popular world wide than Gilligan's Island, I Love Lucy, and The Real Housewives of Intercourse, Pennsylvania.

Sangria Wine with TV ClickerWorld stated that she knows for a fact that The Vampire Diaries is the favorite show of Michelle Obama, Prince Philip, Brett Favre, Peta Murgatroyd, LeBron James, Kirstie Alley, and Neil Young.

Miss Wine pointed out that some of the 73 countries where the show is number one include Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Greenland, Luxembourg, and Peru.

SIDENOTE: Arizona Governor Jan Brewer had banned The Vampire Diaries from being shown in Arizona. But three weeks ago after she received petitions with 1,307,429 signatures she relented and Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon (Ian Somerhalder), and Stefan (Paul Wesley) are now seen in Arizona every Thursday.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
