MARINA DEL REY - Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, the stars of The Vampire Diaries, borrowed their good friend Rob Pattinson's yacht, The Twilight Tigress.
The two sailed out on the Pacific Ocean to watch the annual sperm whale mating rituals off Catalina Island.
Ian and Nina had heard about the rituals from their mutual friend Demi Lovato who is one of the new judges on Simon Cowell's X-Factor.
Lovato had told them that when the sperm whales climax the sound they make can be heard as far away as 14.7 miles.
After Ian and Nina arrived back at Marina Del Rey they decided to have dinner at The Red Glowing Crab Seafood Diner in nearby El Segundo.
Ian had the Stuffed Sardines Marinated in Diet Lowenbrau and Nina had an Octupus Tentacle Salad with a side of Pelican Beak Soup.
Sitting two tables away from them was Sangria Wine a reporter with TV ClickerWorld and her boyfriend Hollywood stuntman McKenna St. Boston.
Miss Wine ever so vigilant for any Tinsel Town tidbits was surprised to overhear Nina mention the "M" word (marriage) as her and Ian engaged in a bit of dinner conversation.
She immediately asked McKenna if he had heard what Dobrev had said and he told her that he hadn't because he was watching the big screen TV that was showing a boxing match between Manolito "El Toro" San Yucatan of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and Scotland's Rodney "The Kilt" Kirkenbride.
