Los Angeles - A collaboration between two famous rock stars' children is the brainchild of Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira who spotted the pair's talent following a tip from international tennis ace Rafael Nadal.

The Grand Slam champ apparently heard 13 year-old Lucas Jagger singing a hip-hop version of his father's famous 'Brown Sugar' at post-match reception in Sao Paulo last year and was very impressed.

So impressed, in fact, that he immediately mailed Shakira a brief vid of Lucas' impromptu performance filmed on a cell phone at the Brazilian capital's famous Eldorado Hotel.

A day later he received a reply from the Colombian star with whom he once acted in steamy video promoting her smash hit album Gypsy.

Apparently Shakira had completely co-incidentally only just spoken to fourteen year-old Paris Jackson who called her to ask if she knew of any good voice coaches in LA who might tutor her ahead of an upcoming audition.

A Rolling Stones number - 'Honky Tonk Women' - was audible in the background as the two chatted woman-to-woman about how to get started in showbiz without resorting to some sort of Simon Cowell-stringpulling talent show appearance.

"That's when I realised these two kids have some awesomely talented DNA and should get together as a songwriting team," an excited Shakira said this morning.

"They have the makings of an awesome partnership if interferring, er, do-gooders leave well alone."

Lucas, who was born on 3 April 1999, lives in Sao Paolo with his famous Brazilian fashion model/TV show hostess mother Luciana Gimenez Morad, his step-dad and step-siblings.

Paparazzi often snap him with dad Mick Jagger as the two holiday together or go out shopping in New York where the youngster often stays during holidays.

Paris meanwhile has just been given a pep talk by one of her aunts dissuading her from an acting career despite some strong entertainment genes in the family make-up.

It's not known if she and Lucas have actually ever met although Nadal's US-based publicist had previously worked with both teenagers' respective parents circa 2006-7.

This weekend an aide to the Morad household where young Lucas lives claimed he and Paris had been on tweeting terms for a little while but declined to speculate on Shakira's plans for their songwriting collaboration.
