Hollywood's raid on British sitcoms has reached the most successful of them all - Only Fools And Horses. The ABC network has announced that it is remaking the Peckham-set comedy for American audiences.
The plot is described as 'the misadventures of two streetwise brothers and their aging grandfather as they concoct outrageous, morally questionable get-rich-quick schemes in a bid to become millionaires'.
THE CAST
The main cast has been announced with Matthew Perry as Rodney and David Schwimmer as Del. Courtney Cox will play Cassandra, love interest of Rodney, and Jennifer Aniston will play Raquel, on-off love interest of Del.
Additional cast members will be Matt Le Blanc as roadsweep Joey Triggiani and Lisa Kudrow as Uncle Pheobe.
The theme tune will be remade and sung by Dennis Waterman and the Rembrandts. If succesful it is thought that E4 or Gold will buy the rights for the UK and broadcast it in perpetuity.

A Hollywood insider told the spoof "This looks great - a bunch of quirky friends - I mean two brothers and their bunch of quirky friends up against the world - it's bound to be a hit"
