image for Publisher says sorry: Pippa's advance £40 only
Who thought that what made a party good was alcohol?

Publisher Michael Joseph is trying to correct a misunderstanding over the advance they are paying socialite Pippa Middleton for a book on how to party.

A typing error announced the advance as £400,000. It is in fact £40.

And the advance will not be in cash but in a Tesco voucher.

"The decision to pay her in Tesco vouchers was because she looks like she could do with a good meal," our spy in London's publishing sector told us.

The title of the book has also been changed.

The new title will be "How To Party Till You Drop And Still Look Good for the Mirror's Front Page".

The length of the book has not been revealed, but in an effort to show solidarity with the poor the publisher will distribute free copies of the book amongst London's homeless.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
