After a minor scuffle at Fortnum and Mason's following the demonstrations against the Cuts attention has moved to the West country where local supermarket Tossco has been given a hefty kick in the Bristols.
Powerful retailers are, it seems, the target of disgruntled people. The retailers come from opposite ends of the spectrum - Fortnums for the nobs and Tossco for the rest - but they are both making people angry. Are these the new citadels of power that are close enough to people to express frustrations?
Your Spoof reporter has been speaking to people from both sides of this conflict. One general point from one side is that Police tactics have not helped. People have been made made to feel more radical by the strong arm tactics used.
The customers of the stores are not happy either. High quality food at Fortnums seems fair enough if you can afford it and if you can't then Tossco, which keeps its prices pretty reasonable, is fair enough.
So, our digest of what we eat and where we get it is giving us food for thought.
