Recent reports about the Spoof Group hostile take-over have proved unfounded. In a recent report, it was suggested the Spoof Group was ready to be bought out by rival news group StrandNews. It was believed that political pressure from Wiki-Leaks could spell the end for the pretend international news group. Since these revelations, Rebus Hentitty, former CO of the news group, has been removed from his position.

Our long time spoof news editor, Mark, who removed Rebus from his position, albeit temporary, made the following statement:

"Hi, I never condoned Rebus, but thought we'd give him his due. If he F***ed it up, it's his own fault."

But his abominations didn't stop here. He went onto say:

"Rebus was a prick. We don't even know how he managed to infiltrate us. I've always been the gaffer round here, Rebus must have turned up on my day off and took over. Everybody in the organisation knows a large part of our funding comes from Wiki-Leaks. To expose us would be political suicide. We hold all the aces!"

So as the media world circle like a bunch of hungry sharks, Spoof looks like its going to continue to be an independent newspaper, and not rise to the bait,.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
