Money No Longer Worth The Paper It's Printed On

Funny story written by Dingwall Johnson

Monday, 21 September 2009

The dollar is no longer worth the paper it is printed on after falling to its lowest level since May.

Millions of public sector workers have been asked to be paid in small sheets of white paper rather than the US monetary equivalent.

The news mirrors that of the UK's financial situation where employees of firms are now being paid in counterfeit paper money confiscated from the Nazis during World War II.

"We can't print paper money fast enough," said the World Bank yesterday. "So we are cutting out the middle men.

"Technically, that isn't true. We'll still need middle men for the distribution of the paper. Middle men are very important to the sustained economic recovery.

"Please make sure you put that bit in about the middle men. Middle men have a lot of clout."

Barack Obama, himself, was seen in Walmart trying to trade dollars for 80gsm paper.

Stockpiling paper is to be made illegal at midnight.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
