WASHINGTON-- In an effort to make them more difficult to counterfeit, the United States Treasury will be introducing a new, more colorful fifty dollar bill this fall.
To give Ulysses S. Grant his new Makeover, Tom Ferguson, director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing enlisted Carson Kressley, one of the stars of Bravo network's 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.'
"We knew we had to add more colors," said Ferguson, "So it was only natural to use someone like (Kressley) to coordinate them."
"I think the new bill just looks super!" exclaimed Kressley "I got rid of those awful blacks and greens and added some fresh pastels for a fun vintage look!"
If all goes well with the new bill, Ferguson says that Alexander Hamilton may be the next dead white guy to get a makeover, hinting at a possible new ten dollar bill.
Some consumers remained skeptical, including 35 year old Larry Welsh, who said, "This is just dumb. Now people are going to have to change the phrase to 'Queer as a fifty dollar bill,' how inconvenient is that?"
