Following the online fantasy gaming craze that exploded with Halo and Warcraft, another geek oriented game is being created for the typical office worker. Using the same title approach in the "Predator versus Alien" movie series, the "Notes versus Outlook" interactive web game pits user against user.

Once connected to the game site, a warrior icon is created for each player and the sides are chosen based on your own desktop mail system. Forces are balanced by mail system type, so a typical game hosts 3 Notes users against 3 Outlook users. Animated icons then invade your desktop mail system shooting graphical torpedoes at items in your opponent's folders.

"I only lost 7 e-mails yesterday", says Outlook player Ivanna Lyffe, "but I'm getting better every day". Notes experienced player Utacha Ma'Diq says, "I love wiping out Outlook e-mails from my competitors. I took down somebody's entire Sent folder this morning. YEAH Baby!"

Office management seems none too pleased given the rash of lost e-mail around each company and constant requests for server refreshes. One corporate spokesman said, "Well, there's one more site we need to block. But not until I get that bastard who wiped out my Sent folder this morning."

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
