Wall Street - (Ass Mess): Rupert Murdoch's purchase of the Wall Street Journal this week has been confirmed by insider trading sources as his final preparation to officially back Hillary Clinton's 2008 White House bid.
"Until the Scooter Libby presidential pardon fiasco Murdoch was prepared to go all out and back Condi Rice," megabux financial sources in Washington DC said today.
"But Rice has been told to back off by presidential hopefuls such as Mitt Romney who feel that she may be 'tainted goods' and incapable of winning in 2008 because of a feared impending anti-Bush backlash."
Today's news comes amid reports that the done deal was brokered by Gordon Brown during his meeting with former US President Bill Clinton at New York's Waldorf Hotel last week, paving the way for Murdoch's purchase ahead of an announcement later this year about giving Hillary the official nod.
Murdoch has been building up his media empire for the last 15 years in what has been described as a c arefully orchestrated bid to ensure the GOP ethnically cleansed Iraq prior to a sweeping Dems' comeback in the shape of the USA First Woman President.
Rudy Guliani is said to be 'livid'.
