Publisher Doubleday has decided to re-release a book that has been out of print for over sixty years. How to Skin a Cat by Maybelle Huckleberry will be in print for the first time since the days of World War Two.

In a press conference at their Atlanta offices, Morton McCoy said, "Everyone always says that there is more than one way to skin a cat, but do they really know? Now they can see, in full color for the first time, just what to do!"

The original book has been a collector's item and sells for over $3000 whenever offered on E-bay. That book had black and white illustrations. The new edition will offer full color photos and a dvd that details all of the required steps.

Barnes and Noble is gearing up in their locations in the south for the book's release. Ned Hatfield, bookstore general manager in La Place, Louisiana, said, "We reckon this'n 'll be perdy popular. I figger we outta put it over with the cookbooks and with the huntin' stuff."

The oriental community in San Francisco is also excited about the books reprinting. Chinatown Mayor We Eatem Yung said, "this book should be as popular as another one in our community. No chinese home can be without this or How to Wok a Dog."

Billy Joe Jim Bob Walton of The Fur Feller, an upscale ladies boutique in Toad Suck, Arkansas, was also excited. "We're gonna start buyin' up all the cat pelts folks wanna sell us. We figger we can make a mint sellin' the women folk some new fur coats. Them Persian's outta make purdy coats."

The book should be in stores by Valentine's day, just in time to fix your sweetheart a really nice barbeque dinner.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
