The Economist wrote:

"The Hilton (or "Transcorp" as it is known to many Nigerians, after one of its owners) may be the continent's single most connected place - in the original, old-economy sense. Tony Blair had fruit juice on the terrace with local religious leaders and the central bank governor on July 31st, having flown in on a private jet. Businessmen of all stripes and colours mingle by the vast pool before seeking out one of the many garden-side nooks and crannies for a confidential chat."

What are they getting at?

My use of a private paid for plane, the £103,000 I was paid expenses, or the private deals I made while there?
