Scientists in Australia are working on a bionic eye technology that allows blind people to see.

According to the news report, the Melbourne-based team's system bypasses the body's visual mechanics entirely.

Patients don't even need eyes as the images are plugged straight into the brain. This is great news. After hearing her sing, I've been imagining what Susan Boyle looks like and pretty soon I'll be able to find out.
