Too good to miss: this, buried at the end of an interview last week in the Financial Times with Antonio Martino, Silvio Berlusconi's former foreign and defence minister, about the chances of the 75-year-old rogue staging a come-back.

'Mr Berlusconi told [Martino] he was still paying a monthly allowance to 42 women.'

I'd say that's Forza Italia code for 'the old boy's still got what it takes.'
