Queen Elizabeth II - My Fake Diary

On the web:
Plans to make Prince Harry a Knight of the Garter look like being put on the back burner until a suitable amount of image reconstruction has taken place. The highest order of chivalry dates from 1348 and is the personal gift of the sovereign, who is usually keen that those awarded it should have earned it - and that can mean a long wait.
Although Prince Charles was only nine when he was automatically invested in 1958 on becoming Prince of Wales, Princess Anne was almost 44 when she became a Lady of the Garter in 1994 - a few years after the dust had settled on her divorce and remarriage.
Princes Andrew and Edward were not invested until 2006 when they were 46 and 42 respectively. However, Prince William became the 1,000th Knight of the Garter in 2008 just days before his 26th birthday - a mark of his grandmother's favour.
