During a campaign visit to Swansea, where I spoke to BBC Wales Welsh Affairs Editor Vaughan Roderick at Oystermouth Primary School, I defended his party's campaign in the local elections despite a major drop in the number of candidates the party is fielding in Wales.

Well, I had to say something with the Lib Dems still only on 9% in the voting intentions poll.

Cameron's still off in the middle-east... Mmmm!
