More than 150 Liberal Democrat activists have written to me, saying I could destroy the party's liberal identity if I backs government plans to allow the authorities to monitor online activity!

And some members have threatened to tear up their party cards.

Don't they think I know this?

Do they think I took the gamble of joining the Conservatives in this Coalition government just to get glory for myself?
