Napoleon - My Fake Diary
Monday, 17 September 2012
Not something I ever dreamt would get into print or even thought about. Here it is from the web of the Daily Record:
Splitting heirs: New novel explores Napoleon's search for a fertile mate.
The story of Napoleon's marriage to Marie-Louise of Austria has three narrators, each with a distinct point of view - Marie-Louise herself; Pauline Borghese, Napoleon's sister; and Paul Moreau, Pauline's Haitian servant.
For the avid reader of history, there is not much new here. Napoleon is cruel and capricious, Marie-Louise must weigh her words, must pretend she loves this man and must do her best to protect herself and her son.
What!?
