In my final bid for London 2012 in Singapore, I dubbed it the "regeneration games".

Locog's Lord Coe talked of the "Olympics profit".

David Cameron burbles on about "making £13bn".

Okay, this is nothing to do with sport, nor with hosting the Games.

But it's lined a few political pockets - but not mine of course!
