I said on the 7th July this year that:

"The attacks failed to divide the city and create a legacy of recruits.
I think it sent an incredibly powerful message about the sort of city we are and why we should be proud to be Londoners.
"The mere fact that we didn't have the divisions they wanted, broadcast the message that this is an amazingly safe city."

That was before the Coalition and G4S farce of course... now... well?
