Lewis Hamilton has decided to refuse a new contract with MacClaren and join Mercedes from next season.

Our principal team boss Martin Whitmarsh thinks that Lewis leaving is a mistake. I however see it differently. I am now undoubtedly the main MacClaren man - just in case I wasn't before.

It also puts me in a stronger position with my own contract negotiations. As well as more money I can ask for the better car, the better hotel rooms and the better biscuits. I have had to struggle thorugh on malted milk for too long while Lewis got the digestives!
