I told the BBC that 'Ministers should "focus 100%" on the economy and not get "distracted" by other issues!' - I did not mention that included not concentrating on things like, NHS patients, police numbers, the cost of food, benefits, crime etc.

I told them that my party will focus on what matters to the public amid criticism from Conservative MPs in the wake of local election defeats.
