I'd had to tell told union leaders that their members and the public did not want strikes, amid the growing prospect of industrial action against the Government's austerity measures.

Fair enough, I can understand the frustration of having an unelected Government cut the police force, the armed services, allowing petrol food gas electricity prices to rocket up, cutting benefits, and continually taking the piss with the poor.

The Labour party failing to take advantage or offer any mildly workable alternatives…
