Arsenal 1 (Vermaelen 21) Wigan Athletic 2 (Di Santos 7, Gomez 8)

Zut allors! Woe betide our luck. We played the team with the best form in the premier league - they have already beaten Liverpool and Man United in the last month.

Two early goals finished us off, I asked the ref if we could restart the match at 8.15pm because our 'chi' was wrong. Well it was worth a try.

Still 5 clear of Tottenham - thank heavens for small mercies.
