Finally watched the end of the snooker.

I really wished Trump had won. He had so much bad luck, it was such a shame.

I hate having to duck-and-dive the news though when I don't want to know the score. Thankfully no-one here wrote a story about it - that's always a minefield too, but I just tell myself, it's all lies - right?!

Anyone watch it? It was a good game I thought. The two players seemed very well matched. Even though Higgins won, I still thought Trump was the better player.

Mark, do you prefer pink, red or black balls?

Agreed. He's a rare young talent and will win aplenty.

You must have been squinting when you had to read Donald Trump subs then...?

I too wanted Trump to win..

But Higgins was magnificent..

Fantastic grit..

You're far too young Mark, but Higgins last night reminded me of Cliff Thorburn..

I am too young, but thanks to Wikipedia, I'm now an expert on The Grinder - so called because of his slow, determined style of foreplay.

Apparently.

Amazing the facts you can pick up on Wikipedia.

Well done Mark.. you suspended felon..

I wrote a Radio 4 BBC Saturday Night Theatre play on that 1980 final.. between The Grinder and the Hurricane..

Did it for me mate Stephen Tompkinson as a favour.. Steve played Brian 'The Hurricane' Strudwick...

Me biggest old mate Kenny played Len Ganley..

and our smashin' pal Brian Glover ran the bar..

But that's gettin a bit name-droppin'.. and most are now dead... So I'll fuck off..
