Benghazi-by-the-Kazi - Cold War intelligence files released today describe the Mad Colonel as modelled on a 'screwball' cartoon character from the 1930s.
"We've been examining the original G'Daffy Duck profile," an MI6 analyst said today, "profiling him as a lunatic vigilante-cum-greedy gloryhound.
"He certainly fits the cartoon studio's casting of a 'completely unrestrainable, combative protagonist' prone to explosive acts of lunacy."
The document highlights the despot's legendary machismo as sourced to a scene from G'Daffy's 1957 Show Biz Bugz blockbuster.
This features G'Daffy as a gasoline-guzzling, nitroglycerine/gunpowder/uranium-238-swallowing he-man who finally implodes after excessive jumping up and down on the spot during a local earthquake.
The studio's depiction of the 'selfish, neurotic and spotlight-hungry' G'Daffy was originally drawn up to describe the despot's birth mother Queen Elizabeth, in a subsequently scrapped royal biopic.
"Unfortunately Ronnie Raygun went nuts when he heard about it so they mothballed the project," an LA FagHagSlagMag source commented.
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said today "What's up, Doc?"
