Government officials have given shoot to kill instructions to security forces in a bid to stop ethnic rioting; 80 people have died so far as a result of the violence.
Since President Kurmanbek Bakiyev's overthrow in April 1000's of people have been hurt; Violence by what is believed to be ethnic Kyrgyz gangs have caused thousands of ethnic Uzbeks to flee the southern city of Osh.
Locals have declared that the change to a shoot to kill policy with have little effect due to the standard of training given to local security forces. This was borne out during our reporter's interview with a senior 'soldier' within the Kyrgyz Terrorist organisation.
24 year old orphan, Imissa Mymum, has said that they are not afraid of the shoot to kill policy; he likened being in close combat with security forces to 'being on the film set of the A-Team'. In a recent raid on a local Supermarket they were confronted with a force of 12 security force members with fully automatic weapons.
The Kyrgyz gang all escaped unscathed. Imissa said that by using metal batons fashioned from clothes rails, and some hastily assembled home made bombs from the gardening department - they were able to evade capture; this was despite the security forces hosing the area with some 20,000 rounds of ammunition.
Imissa seemed only too happy to flaunt the many items of jewellery he's looted during recent raids; our reporter counted at least 20 necklaces, and 8 rings he was wearing. Our reporter saw the black side of Imissa when he pushed him on his attitude towards the morals of what he was doing. Our reporter asked if he did not feel guilty wearing items stolen from others; Imisaa's demeanour immediately changed, and in an agitated voice he told our reporter to "Quit his Jibba Jabba Fool".
