Krakow - (Pieski-in-the-Skyski): One of the C of E's provincial episcopal visitors - or flying bishops as they are known in the trade - is set to officiate at Saturday's funeral of Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria.
The full-bling concelebrated funerary Mass will take place in Krakow Cathedral one week after the Smolensk air disaster that claimed the lives of 96 Polish dignitaries.
Kaczynski - whose name roughly translated means 'duck' man - and ex-Polish Government in Exile CEO Ryszard Kaczorowski - whose surname translates to 'drake' man - were the most senior politicians to perish in the Russian-built Tupolev Tu-154 tragedy.
Commenting on the aircrash today Russian civil aviation investigators denied the ageing, 24 year-old plane was entirely to blame.
"Those Poles have been sitting ducks for a disaster waiting to happen ever since the country's Third Partition of October 24, 1795," General Smirnoff said today.
