Nancy Garrido, the African ostrich housed in the San Diego Zoo is under close surveillance by the city prosecutor and is being charged with consuming an entire snickers bar that was eaten by the Zoo Keeper in charge of her pen.
The prosecutor's office is charging her with 29 felony charges. One charge is for taking a poop outside her cage which was defecated by the Zoo Keeper while he was in a crouched position.
Another charge is for getting brain washed in believing in Jesus and taking marriage vows to obey and serve the zoo keeper until death. She is also being charged for fearing the zoo keeper who was manipulative and dangerous.
Strangely enough the other female ostrich is not being charged with the crime of endangering ostrich hatchlings even though she had privileges to a computer and phone and was allowed to spend time outside the caged compound.
The Associated Press tried to get in contact with the prosecutor for comments but his wife who was caged in her home said he was on vacation bird watching on Mount Everest.
