Every year Japanese melon lovers bid hundreds of thousands of yen for the famous Yubari melons. Men and women from throughout Japan and much of Asia gather for the first look at the delicious melons. Tokyo business man and amatuer comedian Henni Yung Man told all who would listen that he had a irresistable yen for Yubari melons.
Japanese elders explained how the Yubari melons have been admired and longed for for generations.Melon fanatic, Lovin Boobs recalled the grandmother of todays melons:
"I can see them as if it was yesterday. So round and voluptuous...just the thought of them make my mouth water!", Boob told the cameras with the odd appearance of his mouth movements and the sound of his voice being slightly unsynchronized. Lovin explained that any viewer odf old karate films would know that many in his generation was inflicted with this speech defect.
Sukiyaki Yubari said that she was proud to continue the tradition of displaying their beautiful melons every May:' I am proud that among my sisters I alone was chosen as possessing the prize melons of the year and let me remind the doubters among you that they are real and they are spectacular!"
