Sana'a, Yemen Arab Republic - (Fetid Mess): An eight year old Yemeni girl sold into a slave marriage with a 28 year old uncle has blamed feckless Texas polygamist Warren Jeffs for inciting harmless Sana'a relatives into acts of wanton stupidity.
Nojud Mohammed Ali says she is lucky that in a relatively civilised country like Yemen she managed to get a divorce within a couple of months.
"Of course if I'd have been living in that Eldorado baby camp I may never have gotten access to a decent divorce attorney like here in Sana'a."
Officially child marriages are banned in the Yemen Arab Republic.
But since the country got cable and internet some locals may have become awed with the polygamous shenanigans in role model states such as Texas, "seat of US presidential civilization as we know it," according to a publicity blurb.
