Tunisian Foreign Ministry has released a press statement announcing that the Arab League discussions to be held on Monday are to be postponed for an indefinite period. A spokesman attributes the delay due to "disaggreements" between foreign ministers at a Preliminary meeting. Worldwide speculation suggests that the root of the "disagreements" was difference of views on a whole range of political issues affecting the Arab world.
However, insider reports suggest that the foreign ministers were unable to decide their meals at lunch time. One anonymous insider stated, that the ministers were "unable to decide whether they were going to go out for lunch or eat in". The two options offered to the ministers were to eat at Ahmed's Fine Eatery or to have a 3 course meal prepared by the Tunisian State Chef. The disagreement seemed to heading for a swift resolution when the ministers decided to vote for their choice in food, however a deadlock was reached when one minister "chose not to put in the deciding vote but to eat his own packed lunch".
A hungry minister was seen leaving the conference and reportedly said that "democracy doesn't work!".
