The Worried Health Officials (WHO) have admitted today that the suspected lethal strain of Bird Flu (H5N1) is actually only lethal in birds.
It was discovered as the research into the strain was being scrutinised by scientists at Bernard Matthews Turkey farm.
Critics have blasted this revelation saying that the scientists have a hidden agenda for this research working for a Turkey farm which they reverted to saying that they actually farm Turkish Delight, (which is under investigation by trading standards as it is far from a delight). This has silenced the critics although they were heard to mutter 'Touche' as they walked off to criticise something else.
This has proved highly embarrassing for the UK government who bought 2 million doses of the vaccine in case of an epidemic. Our sources tell us that the government now plans to put these on eBay.
