Cuba's leader and chief meteorologist, Fidel Castro has failed to appear at Havana's annual May Day parade, fuelling speculation that spring isn't quite here for the country, just yet.
Every year for the last 120 years Punxsutawney Fidel has been coming out on Mayday to predict the weather for the coming month, but this year, it looks as if he has served up a weather report no one wants to hear, not unlike every other year preceding this one.
No change there then, everything will be exactly the same as it was last year and the year before and so on.
Oh well, maybe next year.
