Are you getting fed up with those Mexican and Native American guys in your town centre that play bland versions of songs that were bad enough in their original form but are even worse on the pan pipes? Well help is at hand thanks to new draft legislation coming from Brussels, that if successful, will see an end to some of the worst of these pan pipe abominations.
Lady in Red, Sailing and Annie's Song are all in the firing line according to EU Sound Environment Spokesperson Kurt Decake.
"These people routinely set up and play this dreadfully dreary middle of the road trash and up until now they have been allowed to get away with it. Well we are sending a message that enough is enough.
Any groups heard performing these tunes after the 17th of February 2007 will be liable to be arrested and fined £2000 or given a six month prison sentence"
Warming to his subject Mr Decake continued:
"And we don't see the legislation stopping there either. Those guys that dress up as robots, paint themselves silver or gold and stand still until people walk up to them better get another act sorted out soon, because that load of cack's for the chop as well!"
The Spoof believes that this is only the start and that before long those irritating people that hassle you to sign up to things, cracking on that they're really a charity, will be run off the streets too.
