Space - A dangerous water leak in an International Space Station astronaut's helmet turned out to be a faulty diaper 'payload' according to a NASA statement tonight.
So severe was the flooding that a planned 45-minute debut spacewalk outside the Station had to be cancelled and astronaut Luca Parmitano sent to Sick Bay 'looking like a beached sprat'.
The ISS's Emergency Holographic Doctor takes up the story with a log that states the Italian spacewalker's only words were 'Sure didn't taste like drinking water to me, Doc'.
The diagnostic also reports that zero gravity space diapers had previously been reported as faulty 'possibly due to tampering by Klingon females masquerading as bona fide Russian cosmonauts.'
"Sounds like someone's taking the piss, heheh," fellow astronaut and ex-US Navy Seal Chris Cassidy chuckled, "poor guy must have mixed up what tube do use."
Catch the ISS swing past the Northern sky horizon around 3am EDT tonight.
