PHILIPPINES -- Cebu Representative Eduardo Gullas, one of the authors of series of house bills that revives mandatory Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) for male college students, was admitted to a nearby hospital after fainting from seeing a ghost.

According to some witnesses who prefer to remain anonymous, Gullas saw a ghost in his office that clearly resembles a man named Mark Wilson Chua, who died of hazing by ROTC course advisers in the University of Santo Tomas last 2001 due to reports of mismanagement of funds. "He [Gullas] panicked in the hallway then told one of them to call a taxi to take him to the nearby hospital," added a witness.

Few members of militant groups that oppose mandatory ROTC stated in an interview that it is a sign for him to think twice before implementing a law that may be a threat to the academic freedom of the students.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
