Dutch Prince Friso (pronounced Freezo) has been hit by an avalanche, but luckily he was in Holland at the time and it is a well known fact that Holland is as flat as a pancake, therefore it was not fatal.
The Prince, who should have been skiing with the rest of the family (it's a royal thing at this time of the year) was just about to leave his royal home when an avalanche rolled down the street and hit him. In fact it was a kiddies snowball that had gotten slightly out of control.
The Prince not seeing the snowball failed to jump to the side and the thing hit his snow boots at full speed, nearly knocking the poor chap over. The kids laughed.
The Queen and his brother were notified about the incident, but they couldn't care less really because they were just about to be hit by a real avalanche in Austria!
This is a typical Dutch news story and because the country is so flat and small they tend to make "Mountains out of snowballs!"
