Dr. Isadore Blumenthal, the pediatric weiner whopper who circumcised young Anthony's weiner when he was just an infant, still recalls the mandatory operation that is a rite of passage for all Jewish boys.
"Never in my wildest dream did I ever think that a picture of one of my weiners would be on the front page of the New York Times. This certainly makes up for all the crying and screaming I put up with when doing this operation."
When asked how he identified the weiner in question, Dr. Blumenthal acknowledged that the first picture, where Weiner's weiner was covered by his underwear, seemed vaguely familiar. However, after seeing later photos, he had no doubts that it was Weiner's weiner.
Asked if he had noticed any character flaw in Weiner when he performed the circumcision, he said that, "No, at that age one weiner is no different from any other weiner. What they do with it after they walk out of my office is their business. I am not a Rabbi. I am just another doctor doing a job for which I was trained."
