In his keynote address to the Tenth Annual Conference on Fear in America, noted scholar Dr. O .D. Ebby discussed an emerging fear of Sharia, or Muslim religious law, led by Newt Gingrich.
"I frankly don't think Mr. Gingrich's fear is at all rational," stated Dr. Ebby. "Rather, I think the fear is a manifestation of deep seated guilt regarding marital infidelity."
"I would like to reassure Mr. Gingrich that any personal fear he has of Sharia coming to the U.S. is baseless on constitutional grounds. Even so, the chance of being found guilty of adultery under Sharia is extremely remote, as there must be at least four direct eyewitnesses to the adulterous acts."
UPDATE: In an related story, John Edwards and John Boehner have joined with Mr. Gingrich in opposition to Sharia law in the U.S.
