3rd District Republican Congressional candidate Jon Runyan prides himself on his ability to protect those in his care, just like how he protected NFL quarterbacks, as a lineman for the Oilers, Eagles and Chargers.
... right?
Interestingly, we've emailed, called and written to Runyan's former teammate, Oilers quarterback Steve McNair, asking him whether he felt protected by Jon Runyan, while they played together.
And he has yet to respond.
"Happy Fourth of July, you've reached Steve and Sahel," said the outgoing voicemail message, heard when calling McNair's most recent phone number. "We're just chillin', lying together on the bedroom floor, and can't get up to answer the phone. OK, hope your Fourth of July is a blast! Or two blasts, in rapid suggestion."
"I'd like to know whether his former quarterback really trusts Jon Runyan, before I vote for him,' said Keyport, NJ resident Nicole Lambropoulos-Rosania, who will be voting early and often in Maple Shade, her former place of residence.
"Look at the problems with the NFL now: Every minute, players are taking shots to the head," continued Lambropoulos-Rosania, whose last name does not fit on her drivers license. "If McNair believes that Runyan could protect him from taking a shot to the head, I'll vote for him.
