SANTA CLARA, CA - Firefighters rescued twenty-four people stuck on the Nowhertigo roller coaster Monday at the Ingrate America amusement park after the ride malfunctioned, said authorities.
Firefighters used long ladders to pull the now incensed riders to safety one by one.
Earlier cell phone camera footage showed riders discussing plans to sue Ingrate America as they helplessly dangled their feet, stranded between 30 to 80 feet above the ground, waiting for firefighters to arrive.
While attempting to fix the problem, maintenance workers accidentally gave the stranded riders an unexpected scare halfway through the ordeal, suddenly dropping them down the slope, sending them rushing backward through two twisting loops, and up another incline on the other side, where they were trapped for approximately four more hours, noted one officer's report.
Santa Clara attorney Abel Abogado said a judge would likely dismiss any claims against the theme park in this incident, as no one suffered any injuries, and Ingrate America still honored a promise to scare the crap out of its patrons...
They just took a little longer than usual to do so this time.
