Seventeen teenage schoolfriends who all fell pregnant at the same time, may have entered into a pact with the school's principal, it has been suggested.
The girls, all pupils at Midwich High School in Massachusetts, are expecting their children around Thanksgiving in November, and several of their other schoolfriends have said that the school's principal may know something about it.
Danielle Cuckoo, 16, told reporters:
"They were all prefect material, always in the principal's office."
Another, Donnatelle Blather, 16, said:
"I wanted to get pregnant too, but I wasn't selected."
There are grave concerns that the girls may have planned their pregnancies with such precision that they would coincide with each other, in a copycat simulation of the 1960 movie Village of the Damned.
Local man Richard Warner said:
"We're doomed!"
