PENTAGON (Reuters) - After having condemned gays serving openly in the military, controversial Joint Chief of Staff Chairman General Peter Pace has now announced that he will undergo a sex change operation.
At a well-atttended Pentagon press conference Pace said, "I can no longer keep my lifestyle in the closet, thus with the support of my wife Glenda and of my male companion Federick, I will undergo a sex-change operation. I hope to maintain the dignity of the Pentagon and its morality with this action, even as we murder Moslems in order to grab their oil to boost the profits of Exxon Mobil."
General Pace had earlier told the Chicago Tribune that, "I believe homosexual acts between two individuals are immoral and that we should not condone immoral acts. I do not believe the United States is well served by a policy that says it is OK to be immoral in any way."
In his news conference Pace added that "slaughtering Moslems is moral in order to grab their oil and to allow Israel to continue to steal Palestinian land, even though both activities run contrary to international law."
The Continental Congress issued an edict in 1775 that demanded that military commanders 'inspect the behavior of all such men as are under them, and to discountenance and suppress all dissolute, immoral, and disorderly practices, and also such as are contrary to the rules of discipline and obedience, and to correct those who are guilty of the same. General Pace believes he can regain his morality by becoming a woman.
Gay organizations throughout the US applauded Pace's decision and called for such sex change operations to be encouraged and supported by the Veteran's Administration.
Pace said that Karl Rove supports his decision and will undertake a similar sex change operation for himself. Pace is urging his many fellow gay officer comrades at the Pentagon do the same.
