Republican Senator John McCaine is off to the promised land -- exit 6 ( PA-84 )-- to confer with the Rev. Jerry Fallwell on the upcoming primary.

McCaine is facing harsh criticizm for courting the religious right wing of the party -- The same folks that labeled him gigolo and a draft dodger in the 2000 primary.

This -- despite the fact that during the Viet Nam War -- he was in the Hanoi Hilton while Dick Chaney was out playing Golf.

President Bush said: "I know John has seen the error of his ways -- this is a Christian country and I know he did the right thing in choosing Jesus as a running mate

"I mean -- it worked for me!"

McCain's wife appeared in a Burkha to emphasise the fact that the U.S. is not a Christian nation -- but a nation founded on religious diversity and tolerance.

Enigmatic homosexual evangelical leader -- Ted Haggard -- endorsed McCaine and Jesus in '08

Haggard commented: "As long as they don't get married that is"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
